Dr. Dhirav Hitesh Shah is a compassionate and meticulous Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy, Sports Injuries, Joint Preservation, and Complex Fracture Management. Known for his kind demeanor and precise surgical skill, he is dedicated to restoring mobility and improving quality of life for his patients through evidence-based and minimally invasive orthopaedic care.

Dr. Shah’s clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of injuries around the shoulder and knee joints, including torn labrums, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, shoulder dislocations, calcific tendinitis, ACL & PCL injuries, meniscus tears, patellar instability, Baker’s cysts, and cartilage injuries associated with arthritis. He is also highly experienced in fracture fixation and trauma surgery, managing both simple and complex orthopaedic trauma cases.

A native of Mumbai, Dr. Shah completed his MBBS from the renowned Dr. B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital and Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai. He went on to pursue his Diploma in Orthopaedics (D.Ortho) from Rajawadi Municipal General Hospital, one of Mumbai’s most respected trauma centers, where he received extensive training in trauma surgery and emergency orthopaedic care.

To further hone his skills, Dr. Shah completed multiple advanced fellowships:

• Sports Medicine and Joint Preservation Fellowship at Dr. L.H. Hiranandani Hospital, Mumbai, where he managed sports injuries and the orthopaedic care of athletes.
• Advanced Shoulder and Knee Surgery Fellowship at the same institute, gaining expertise in complex arthroscopic and joint replacement surgeries.
• Hip, Knee, and Shoulder Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Fellowship at the prestigious OCM Clinic, Munich, Germany, under globally acclaimed surgeons Dr. Robert Hube and Dr. Patric Raiss.
• Advanced Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at Paracelsus Medical University, Salzburg, Austria, where he trained in cutting-edge shoulder reconstruction techniques.

Over the years, Dr. Shah has been part of over 1000 major orthopaedic surgeries, including complex arthroscopies, arthroplasties, and trauma procedures. His international exposure and continuous learning have shaped his comprehensive approach, blending modern surgical innovation with patient-focused care.
